Week 1 - EOC: Best and Worst Jobs (300 word)

The worst job that I've ever had was being employed at a skateboarding shoe company. Only due to the fact that it was very competitive being that the sales position was based on system in order to achieve weekly sales goals. Also, besides that it was a very competitive sales floor I also had to stand on my feet for hours while re organizing items on the retail floor that customers who had previously not want, but I eventually had to put the item back. All of these duties were part of the sales position but unfortunately I'd have to say this was the worst job I had. Considering the company had to let go of an employee because they were not meeting their sales goals and so they had to begin the process of rehiring and training.

The best job that I've ever had was being employed at a restaurant were I was the host. And I enjoyed this job because it was more of a one person job though I was very fortunate because I had a mentor to guide me in the right direction throughout the training process. The position was very straight forward which included as such: you welcome/sit the guests, answer phone calls and also a discount on great meals for lunch. Being that I had enjoyed this job as the best one was because, there was always something to do especially during the evening time because everybody loves dining.

I went to pursue this major because I’m interested in working in the fashion industry and eventually start and run my own clothing company. My interest grew from fashion magazines, runways and from films. I’ve began to explore this interest of fashion and found out of many numerous and talented fashion designers. For an example I grew to love and continually to be inspired by Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney, Valentino and Marc Jacobs. If it weren’t for these fashion designers I don’t think I’ve would of grew an interest in fashion only due to the fact that each fashion designer that I’ve mentioned are all talented and each have their own unique style. Each collection that they put out every season is always very different and innovative the the previous collection. My interests and my education program are extremely linked together, which is why I'm majoring in Fashion Business. I've took this venture in education to pursue my career in fashion to potentially get the job that I've been
